Good-bye High Chair

Today we put away the high chair and put Ryan in a booster seat. Not really that big of deal but I have to admit, I felt a little sad saying good-bye to the high chair. Maybe it's overdue but he's always been so good and content in his high chair so there he stayed. He's been in there since we've brought him home and now he joins us at the table, which is rather nice but messy. He is such a big boy and it's hard to believe just how fast he is growing and changing.

The Korean Bunch!

Today I hosted a play group with my friends who all have little ones adopted from Korea. I always look so forward to seeing everyone and their adorable kids. We aren't able to get together very often but we always have a great time when we do. I know I've mentioned this before but I am so thankful for having met these great moms!!! I love how we all share something so special.
Here is a group shot minus one who couldn't be here today. (Surprise! Ryan is crying)

A New Friend

I am so thankful for the people I have met through the wonderful world of adoption. I have to say that I am so happy that I have found these mom's who have all adopted little ones from Korea. We share a special bond, one I am truly grateful for. Ike is Ryan's new friend who just came home from Korea 5 weeks ago and today we went to Ike's house for a play date! Here are a few picture of Ryan and Ike...no surprise Ryan isn't smiling for the camera!

Auntie Kati

I have a pretty awesome sister! She is also a pretty awesome auntie who Ryan absolutely loves. We got to spend some quality time with Auntie Kati today which we don't get to do often enough being that she lives out of state. However, it was a great day and Ryan had so much fun playing and being silly with her.

Over Due Blog Post

It's been far too long since my last post. Ever since we moved I feel like I have lost ALL organizational and time management skills. Not sure where the time has gone. I feel like this summer is slipping by more quickly than I've even had the chance to realize. I guess having an extremely busy summer AND moving will do that to a person. Anyways, we are finally starting to feel settled in our new home and our new area. Ryan is doing great in our new house. He loves it here and loves his new bedroom. Cooper is finally coming around and is showing signs of the dog we knew before we moved. We still have lots to do and get for our house but right now we are working on window treatments. After that will come grass (for Cooper) and the start of our landscape and then it will be on to new furniture for our family room. Little by little we are making this house a home. We are happy here.

Ryan and I visited a new park today. It was so much fun. Not to mention the mass amounts of ducks by the creek that love to be fed. Ryan had a blast feeding them. He was however afraid of most things on the playground. I had to hold his hand every step of the way. So sweet. After the park we went get an ice cream. It was a great morning! Here are a few pictures of our morning at the park. As usual, Ryan won't smile for the camera...that is the new norm! More posts to come in the very near future! I finally feel like I am getting my groove back!

Wouldn't let go of my hand....
