Apple Picking!

One of my very favorite things about fall is going to apple orchards! We make an effort to go to one every weekend during the fall. Yesterday we visited an apple orchard with some of our friends! Ryan had so much fun as he loves spending time with his friend Katelyn. We picked apples for the first time which Ryan enjoyed as well. There were lots of other fun things for the kids to do such as a train ride, climbing a haystack, corn maze (which Ryan was afraid of), petting farm, and of course the cider and donuts!!! It was a great time! So glad it's fall!!!

So Long Summer!

Hard to believe summer is just about over. I feel like we never really had the chance to enjoy our summer. Seems like much of the summer was us just settling into our new home and before we knew it, September arrived! I feel like I just took Ryan's 2 year pictures at the beginning of June and just today on September 2nd, I took end of summer picture in the same spot. Not much has changed...Ryan still hates the camera and getting him to smile is well, a challenge.
What has Ryan been up to?? He's been up to what most 2 year olds are up to....Play dates, play groups, library visits, tantrums, not eating, and more tantrums...you know! He's definitely in the "terrible twos" and has his good days and his not so good days. However, he is at such a fun age and is learning so many things and is talking so much. This child certainly has a lot to say! We just love this little boy on good days and even the bad ones!

He has his moments but is still as silly as can be. He still has a strong love for his trucks and has become a huge fan of the Cars movie. Every morning he asks "watch cars, mama, watch cars????" He is spending more time playing independently but still likes to make sure I am near by when doing so.
Ryan has about 90% of the alphabet down and can count 1-10. He still loves books, Sesame Street, and Mickey Mouse. He loves playing with other kids...especially if they are a little older than him.
Our summer was crazy busy and our fall seems to becoming just as busy but it's filled with lots of fun things. Now that we are pretty much settled in our house we will be able to enjoy things a little more. Looking forward to the upcoming holidays in our new home. Things are good.
