Easter

What a difference a year makes! Last Easter we were only home from Korea for a week and we were all sick, delirious, and jet lagged. I barely remember anything about Easter last year other than being tired and totally overwhelmed. This year however was a different story. We took Ryan to the Easter bunny which he hated. We dyed Easter eggs. We hid his Easter basket and he found it all on his own. We went to church or "Chooch" as Ryan calls it and he was a very good boy and we enjoyed some family time at my parents house. Ryan was even surprised with an Easter egg hunt that my cousins prepared for him. It was so much fun!

Here are some pics from our Easter fun...

Here We Go Again!!!!

Oh...My...Goodness....I'm Going To Be A Big Brother!!!!
That's right! We're adopting baby number 2!!!! We will be adopting a little baby girl from South Korea and couldn't be more excited. When we submitted our pre-application to the agency a few weeks ago we were told it would be a 4-6 month wait for the formal application, maybe a little less since this was our second adoption. However, I was not expecting it to come in the mail two weeks later!!!! So, we spent the last few weeks completing the app., going for physicals etc.
Here is roughly what the timeline will look like to bring our little Annie home....
Home study....should be completed and sent to Korea by July/August thereabouts.
Referral...9 Month wait for a referral for a girl (that would bring us to April(ish) 2012 to receive our referral.
Travel...3-4 months after referral (that would bring us to July/August 2012)

The journey to bring Annie home is going to be a long one and at times frustrating but will be so worth it in the end! I can't wait to have my little girl!!!

22 Months!

Today our little man is 22 months! Seriously...where is the time going! He is growing up way to fast. *Ryan is saying so many news words it's hard to remember them all. His latest words include...
Up, Down, Juju (juice), Sit, Me, Ouch, Itchy, Stuck, Shoes, T.V., Hi Dada, Hi Mama, A-Do (Hello), Bye-Bye, Ka-T (Auntie Kati), Guck (Truck), Night-Night, Knock-Knock, Book. He can repeat several words when asked.

*He calls Cooper Boo-Ca! He will say "sit Boo-ca, sit" or "No-No Boo-Ca"

*He refers to his blanket as his Tee-Tee!

*He loves giving Cooper treats and has to be the one to feed him breakfast and dinner or he gets upset.

*His 3 favorite words are Mama, Dada, Bapa (Grandpa) and in that order and will repeat all 3 words over and over throughout the day.

*He is terrified of thunder and hasn't forgot about the thunderstorm we had a few weeks ago.

*Ryan is definitely entering the "terrible twos" and has his moments. He loves going to the library every week but HATES leaving the library...he lets me and everyone else in the library know he doesn't want to leave.

*He loves helping us do everything such as clean, fix something, water plants, put laundry away, etc. Where ever we are...he wants to be.

*Yesterday we took Ryan to his first movie to see HOP. He made it through the entire movie believe it or not!
Waiting for the movie to starting eating some snacks....

*Ryan loves playing outside and would play outside ALL day if I let him.

*Ryan and Cooper are quickly becoming best buds...

*Ryan absolutely loves Daddy's tools and loves helping daddy use his tools. His "play" tools aren't good enough...he wants the real ones!
Hard to believe that he will be turning 2 two months from today. I just ordered his birthday supplies...We will be having a truck party. I even found truck cake toppers. He's all about the trucks....even more than trains!

Outside...finally!

We finally had the opportunity to play outside today for the first time in a long time. Ryan loves being outside and seems to be the happiest when he gets to run around so it was a nice change of pace! However, he is at the point where he loves being outside so much that when I tell him that it's time to go inside, he gets upset! I'm sure this behavior has something to do with the fact that we are about to enter the "terrible twos"...actually I think Ryan has gotten an early start! Here are a few pics from today...
