My camera was sitting next to me when Ryan just started looking up at me with a big smile and then started laughing. It was so sweet so I grabbed my camera and captured a few pics of our happy little boy and his ever so sweet smile! I love that he is so silly and to hear him laugh is one of the greatest sounds I've ever heard!

Baptism
This past Sunday we had Ryan baptized and what a special day it was. It turned out to be a beautiful sunny day as we celebrated with our close family. I've looked forward to having him baptized since the day we brought him home. Thanks to my parents we had a nice celebration after church at their house and everything turned out wonderfully. Ryan was a good boy (for the most part during church). He did however start crying during the actual baptism ceremony when the priest poured the water over his head. Poor baby. However, he looked adorable even when he was crying. Joey and I chose my brother and my sister as his Godparents who are two very special people in his life.
Here are a few pics from the big day.....

Ooh, ah, ah!
Ryan has discovered a love for monkey's and has one favorite monkey stuffed animal in particular that he just loves to hug and kiss. Every time he sees his monkey he says "ooh, ah, ah"! It's so adorable and just cracks me up. He had a very rough night last night due to teething and nothing was soothing him. Well, nothing until I grabbed the monkey and put it in his crib with him. He put his monkey close to his face and shortly after that, he finally fell back to sleep.

Baseball=Fun....Pool=No Fun!
This morning I did the ultimate task....cleaned behind the refrigerator! This was because I dropped our salt shaker behind there and I figured while we had the fridge pulled out it would be the perfect opportunity to vacuum it up and gather any other mystery items we could find. Amongst one of those items was a baseball! Not even sure how the heck a baseball got behind the fridge but yay for balls....Ryan's favorite toy to play with other than trucks of course! He had lots of fun playing with the baseball with daddy and Cooper.
After that we went for a walk and then decided to take a little dip in our crab pool. I thought that because Ryan has been extra happy lately that he just may enjoy his pool. NOPE! He screamed pretty much the whole time and kept saying Uhhhhhhhhhh.....Ohhhhhh! Oh well! Maybe next summer we will have more fun in our pool.

14 Months!
Today our little peanut is 14 months! Can't believe it! I must say however, this last month has been a huge milestone for Ryan in so many ways. Our once VERY whiny, crying all the time, easily frustrated, clingy baby has emerged into a happy, silly, smiling and laughing little boy. We always wondered when the time would come that he would be totally and completely adjusted to his new life. It took a little longer than we anticipated and many times we found ourselves very frustrated but we can finally say that he is there. He is a totally different kid now than he was the first 3 months home....happy, content, and finally at a place he deserves to be. He is so much fun and has made huge progress and we are so proud of him. We love his little boy so much more than we ever thought possible.
Here's what Ryan has been up to...
*He is slowly becoming a less picky eater...we are now eating 3 different veggies....better than not eating any! He still loves fruit and finally likes noodles.
*He has FINALLY discovered a love for books. He has started bringing books to us when he wants them read to him and will sit there long enough to hear a book or two.
*He says...mama, da-deeeee (daddy), ball, uh-oh, ha, ha, ha!, Mmmmm, and Dog....eeeeeeee
*He loves the swings and will start to say "eeeeeeeee" (weeeee) when we walk past the park.
*He points at everything and has started pointing at things when he wants them.
*He has become a walker! Over this past weekend he decided it was time to start walking although he prefers crawling at times to get places faster.
*He is so full of personality and is easily humored. He laughs all the time...mommy is very silly and can make him laugh!
*He loves Cooper and can't give him enough kisses.
*He is still sleeping through the night and takes a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon.
*He is very curious and will analyze the smallest crumb he picks up off the ground.
*He loves getting his hair done and will lean forward to look in the mirror to check it out.
*He LOVES dancing....even when I am humming or whistling to myself he will start rocking back and forth.
*He loves going to the grocery store and running errands with me. He also enjoys going out to dinner!
*He is still a huge fan of Sesame Street and will look at the TV even if I just say the words!
Someone still loves his Elmo..
We have a walker!
But still likes crawling to get places faster...
Someone discovered trucks...new favorite toys!
