Sunday, Funday

Most Sunday's we have Sunday dinner at my parents house. Ryan loves going there and loves spending time with his grandpa and grandma and even his great-grandma! It's a great family tradition and I am so glad that Ryan gets to spend quality time each week with his grandparents and great grandma! He was completely wore out by the time he left that he zonked out in the car to the point that he was actually snoring. He even slept til 7:00am which NEVER happens. Bapa really wore him out...Thanks Bapa!!!!

Ryan especially loves his Grandpa aka Bapa! They even dress alike!





Ryan also got to watch a movie and read books with his great-grandma!



And play with all his toys that are there too...

Tower Power!

Ryan built this tower all by himself and was VERY proud of himself for doing so. He then knocked it over and became a very silly little boy. The think the excitement of his accomplishment made him turn into the silly little monkey that he is!

Kind of bummed there is so much snow and we are trapped inside, but at least we can make the best of the day!

That bugs me...

What bugs me you ask...The stomach bug that is! That pretty much sums up our week in a nutshell....STOMACH FLU! I can't even remember the last time I threw up that much and felt that awful. Not to mention, taking care of a almost 20 month old when feeling that horrible is almost impossible. I would however like to give a special thanks to Mickey Mouse, Chuggington, and Thomas the Train for helping me through the day. My poor husband who has been traveling this week for work came down with the stomach flu yesterday while he is stuck in a hotel. I feel so bad for him and can't wait for him to get back home today. I just feel sorry for him that he now has to get on an airplane with a nauseous stomach. The only good things that came out of this week include.....Ryan never threw up and my jeans fit a little looser now...OH, and my house is completely cleaned and disinfected!

20 Months!

Someone is growing fast and here we are at 20 months old! It's amazing how fast time flies with a busy, silly, little boy that keeps me on my toes!! Here is what's new with Ryan....

*He has a new morning wake up time of 6:15 a.m. rather than 7:15 a.m....not sure what happened there!

*His vocabulary has taken off this past month. His newest words are... Elme (Elmo), Abbie (from Sesame Street), Beep Beep (trucks), Oh No!, Ow, Did It!, Na Na (Knock, Knock), No!, Sew (snow), DOUGH (dog), Zeep (zip), Hi Baby! and E...R (ear).

*His obsession with trains continues to grow.

*His tantrums have subsided for the time being.

*He has mastered climbing...took him awhile with his short little legs.

*He will call "Mama", "Mama", and then when I reply with yes Ryan, he will Say "Hi Mama!!"

Email

Two weeks ago I sent updated photos and a letter that was translated into Korean to Ryan's foster family. In the letter I gave them my email address only hoping that they would send something. Yesterday, I received an email from them!!!! When I opened the email there was a short but very sweet email written in English. His foster family basically said that they were happy to see Kaon so happy and that they received and are enjoying the updated pictures of Kaon. I was and still am so happy that they sent us an email. I just now replied to them and sent a few more picture of Ryan. I love that we have a means of communication with his foster family other than only through the agency! This makes me very happy.

Ryan is unfortunately all to familiar with how to use his doctor instruments considering he has been to the doctor's office one too many times for his ear infections. Nonetheless, he is all too cute when he is playing "doctor".
